Opened by two business partners, the bottom line at Copper Bottoms of Locust Grove, GA is that the future looks sunny, indeed!
When Michael Allsup and Brian O’Neill wanted to diversify their business interests, they decided to have a little fun in the sun. “We purchased an existing salon that had a lot of potential,” said Michael Allsup, co-owner, “which means it was in a great location but it needed a lot of work. We spent the next four months painting the walls, installing new carpet and getting new tanning equipment, and we also changed the salon’s name to Copper Bottoms. Brian came up with the name and we both thought it was good to start out with a fun, catchy name that people would remember. It definitely helped establish us as a new salon with a lot to offer.”
Thanks to Mike and Brian’s marketing efforts and networking within their community, Copper Bottoms has grown into a popular and successful salon. “We really enjoy owning our business and being part of such a fun industry,” Michael explained, “so we’d like to continue to grow. Our immediate goal is to open a few more stores in the area, and I could see us possibly franchising Copper Bottoms in the future. This is something we would likely do after having a good, solid base of at least ten locations.”
Thanks for helping us welcome Michael Allsup and Brian O’Neill to the indoor tanning community. We look forward to meeting many more new faces and salon places in the months to come. Until then… stay sunny!
