ALEXANDRIA, TN – To play his latest movie role, mega-star Mark Wahlberg required multiple spray tans – Norvell Double Dark spray-tan to be exact – expertly applied by Norvell’s own, Tennille Cardinal.
In the “based on a true story” film, “Pain and Gain”, Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson play a pair of buff and bronzed Florida bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong.
Mr. Wahlberg was originally scheduled to be assisted by a technician from a Tan USA salon in FL, who had received Master Certification in spray-tanning from the Norvell training team. “When his technician was unavailable to do the job, the salon owner called me to ask for help,” explained Brandon Cardinal, Norvell VP-Sales & Marketing. “Apparently, Mark said he preferred female spray-tan technicians, so of course, my lovely wife Tennille was the perfect candidate.”
“It was an honor to spray-tan an icon like Mark Wahlberg!” exclaimed Tennille. “He was professional and very down-to-earth each time we met. He’s in amazing shape, you can tell he put the time in for the movie and made my job so much more exciting. However, I’m even more honored to work for such an outstanding company. I’m proud of my 13 years with Norvell.”
