Fifty tanning salon professionals looking for training and education on New Sunshine’s 2015 product line found it – and so much more – at Tanning Supplies Unlimited’s 2015 Symposium.
Held November 22 at the distribution company’s Indianapolis headquarters, the seventh-annual event gave salon owners and their staff an in-depth look at the products they’ll be offering during the upcoming season. “While we saw many familiar faces this year, there was a good mix of attendees,” said Mike Gilley, TSU Owner. “It was good to see everyone getting excited about the upcoming season.”
While training and education were the event’s biggest attractions, there were also many exciting prizes given away. Jeff Mills, owner of the Sol Spa Tan chain in Bloomington, IN, won an Australian old Iconic Collection Starter Kit valued at $490. While he was happy to have won, Jeff says the biggest reward was the education his staff received at the show. “I’ve been attending this event for years,” he said, “and I have a great relationship with Mike Gilley and everyone at TSU. I consider them friends as well as business partners.”
At the end of the day, Mike Gilley considers TSU’s sixth annual symposium a success. He explained, “From the feedback we received, everyone seemed very happy to have learned something that will help them be more profitable. We’re looking forward to doing it again next year.” ■
