1. How did you get into the tanning industry?
[gap height=”15″]
I have been a tanner since I was 16, using Caribbean Gold or Australian Gold lotions, so I have always been somewhat familiar with the brand. Eleven years ago, I had been unexpectedly laid off from a job of five years and was searching for something new. A close friend knew I was in marketing and had heard of an opening in the marketing department at Australian Gold. He passed my resume off and the rest is history!

2. What do you like most about your job?
[gap height=”15″]
I think the new product creation process is always my favorite. From looking at what fits in the line, to the name, to the fragrance, how the lotion feels on the skin and the product’s “story.” Even after all this time, it’s fun to create new and amazing products for our tanners!

3. When you were a kid, what did you want to grow up to be?
[gap height=”15″]
I, like most young girls (I think), wanted to be a marine biologist. I even looked into schools in Florida, but I was drawn to marketing at a young age, as well, taking business and marketing classes in high school.

4. What’s your biggest “pet peeve?”
[gap height=”15″]
I feel I have incredibly sensitive hearing, so hearing people eat or chew, especially gum, can almost drive me to hysteria!

5. What would you sing at Karaoke Night?
[gap height=”15″]
Probably something that everyone else would join in singing so you couldn’t actually hear me sing, like “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey. People HAVE to sing along with that one!

6. Necessities aside, what one thing could you not go a day without?
[gap height=”15″]
Coffee. I cannot function without coffee. Every. Single. Morning!

7. If you were a super-hero, what power would you have?
[gap height=”15″]
I would probably want the power to heal. To be able to take someone’s pain away, especially my son’s pain, would be tremendously rewarding.
