1. How did you get into the tanning industry?
[gap height=”15″]
I started as sales manager and corporate trainer for American Royal Distributors, the manufacturer of Ultimate Tanning Lotion. A short three years later, the owner decided he would rather be a computer programmer and closed the business. During this transition time, I was fortunate to be introduced to Susan Miller, Fred Morris and Paul Manke from PC Marketing (now PC Tan). We hit it off and I’ve happily made my home there for nearly 20 years – this is my family now, too.

2. What do you like most about your job?
[gap height=”15″]
EVERYTHING! I love the vivaciousness of this industry and of course, my PC family. From the people to the products, our industry is full of life and energy. Though I am a salesperson to the core having started making cold calls out of the Yellow Pages back in 1986, I am lucky to have worked in many aspects of the business which has fed my need for diversity and learning new skills.

3. When you were a kid, what did you want to grow up to be?
[gap height=”15″]
When I was very young, I wanted to be a lawyer, probably because I was a master at “arguing my case” to get what I wanted as an only child for the first ten years of my life.
[gap height=”15″]
I also wanted to be a teacher and would hold “class” for my brother and sister who are ten and 12 years younger than I … needless to say, they were well prepared for kindergarten!

4. What’s your biggest “pet peeve?”
[gap height=”15″]
The thing that stresses me out the most is disorganization. I am that person who needs to clean the kitchen BEFORE I start to cook, and also clean up as I go. Not to say we don’t have messes, that is just life – but clutter such as dishes in the sink or poorly organized files really hits my hot button.

5. What would you sing at Karaoke night?
[gap height=”15″]
Depends on my mood. My go-to list would be Lady Gaga’s “You & I,” Salt-N-Pepa’s “Shoop” or Adele’s “Rumors.” I don’t know how good it sounds, but I am a singing DIVA … in the shower, LOL!

6. Necessities aside, what one thing could you not go a day without?
[gap height=”15″]
My Kindle! I am an avid reader and binge-watcher, so my Kindle is the one thing I take with me everywhere. I sometimes will do a partial cut-off from entertainment such as TV, movies, etc. and just read. I have read up to 16 books in a two-week period and have interest in all genres.

7. If you were a super-hero, what power would you have?
[gap height=”15″]
I already have my super power. It’s one we all have but most don’t realize it. It is the power to survive what life throws at you, the power to plow through the rain to get to the rainbows, the power to search for the silver lining until you find it … with a smile.
