Dear Readers,
[gap height=”15″]
I can’t believe there’s fresh snow on the ground outside my office window as I write this letter on April 9! After that crazy winter, the good news is that tanners are SO ready to get bronzed and ready for spring! My salons report a measurable comeback with increases over four percent in both customers and gross sales. Another exciting number shows increases in new customers or returning tanners who have not been in the salon in at least two years. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to boast of such increases … hopefully, you are seeing the same. That being said, I’m also glad that my teams are well-trained to handle it.

In almost every Publisher’s letter since I developed Sun is Life® Training & Certification, I’ve mentioned the important role that training has played in my company’s success. I can’t overstate the fact that a well-trained and certified staff can greatly improve your business. With increased professionalism, educated salon staff can answer customer questions and represent your business in a positive light, which leads to a reduction in customer complaints. These are just a few of the reasons to get your team trained and certified TODAY! Right now, Sun is Life Training is available to educate up to ten employees per location per year – for only $99. In any industry, even veteran staff can benefit from additional education.
