A leading low-pressure sunlamp maker, Cosmedico Light, Inc. also offers two lines of high-pressure lamps that deliver quality and performance.
High-pressure tanning continues to gain popularity with American tanners looking for the premium salon experience. Sales of sessions in upgrade units provide salons with an opportunity to increase revenue, making this type of tanning a win-win for everyone involved. With its two lines of high-pressure sunlamps, Cosmedico Light, Inc. is providing tanning pros with even more options – the company’s two HP lines include a total of 33 products to fit nearly every unit in the marketplace. And, with each sunlamp producing a minimum of 800 useful life hours, they live up to the reputation for performance and reliability that is Cosmedico.
Cosmedico’s HP sunlamps are nothing new – the company has been making and marketing its High-Pressure Quartz Performers for years. “Lately, we’ve been making a bigger push in the marketplace because the demand for high-quality HP lamps continues to increase,” said Kevin Apgar, Cosmedico President. “All of our high-pressure lamps feature the same quality, German engineering that Cosmedico is known for, and we’ve placed stricter attention on the quality of the raw materials being used in their construction. Simply put, better materials make for better lamps.”
Cosmedico recently acquired another HP sunlamp line with a reputation for quality and performance. “Our parent company, J.W. Holding, recently purchased the Cleo HPA line originally manufactured by Philips,” Kevin said. “These lamps feature a gold coating on both ends, which guarantees ideal operating temperature during sessions. And since this line covers nearly the complete spectrum of performances and socket types, they can be used in most popular high-pressure tanning systems.”
To get the most out of your HP sunlamps, Apgar recommends salon professionals learn the proper way to install them. “The condition of the quartz glass ultimately determines how the lamp will perform,” he said. “This is why it’s so important to keep the lamps clean and free of oil and debris – just one smudge can penetrate the quartz glass once its heated and cause the lamp to suffer early failure.” When installing or handling the lamps, Apgar recommends always wearing gloves and suggests wiping the glass with some rubbing alcohol once it’s installed. He also recommends following manufacturer guidelines when removing and re-installing the unit’s filter glass.
With two lines of top-quality high-pressure sunlamps and a company with the experience and willingness to help salon owners find the right one for their needs, maybe it’s time to consider Cosmedico Light, Inc. For more information, call 800.294.2336, or visit the newly-redesigned cosmedico.com.
“We were having trouble with the high-pressure lamps in one of our units and we were only getting about 350 hours of useful life out of them. Our distributor sent us some new lamps to try and they easily outperformed what we had before by consistently giving us at least 500 hours. When I checked to see who made them, I noticed they were made by Cosmedico Light, Inc. and I wasn’t surprised – their sunlamps are always a good investment, and I would recommend their HP lamps to anyone looking for a product that performs.”
