It’s a fact: many of your salon guests simply can’t resist a great new pair of shades! This is one accessory item that is a must-have for tanning salons – which is why Dr. Sun partnered with reality TV star Jessica Robertson to offer a new line of fantastic sunglass styles.
“Jessica chose her all-time favorite styles that she thought would look good on any woman for any occasion,” explained Dr. Sun President, Christy Hogan. Of course, choosing sunglasses can be a challenge – how do you match your sunglasses with your hair color and skin tones? Here are a few rules:
1. If you have darker skin and hair color, you can wear more saturated frame colors like deep red, black, browns, vivid purples and dark blues.
2. Fair skin and lighter hair colors are complemented by warmer, softer tones like brushed gold, brushed bronze, matte gold, soft brown and transparent pastels.
3. Women with graying or white hair look best in cool colors like silver or two-toned frame styles with silver and gold as well as lilac, rose, lavender, light blue, steel blue, and light gray.
The most current sunglass styles are chic, colorful, dramatic and fun. Dr. Sun also has some expert tips for choosing the right fit for your face. Take a good look in the mirror and determine what shape your face is: oval, long, round, square, heart-shaped or diamond.
Oval is the ideal face shape for any sunglass frame.
If your face is long, your best shape choice is rectangular.
A round face looks best in soft square or rectangle-shaped frames.
Square is the ideal face shape for round or oval frame styles.
If your face is heart-shaped, your best shape choice is square or rectangular.
A diamond-shaped face looks best in rounded, oval or cat-eye frames.
This is an accessory that knows no season. “Salons can sell these all year long because protecting our eyes from UV rays is just as important during the winter as it is in the summer,” Christy continued. “Sunglasses are a must for everyone, no matter what time of year it is.”
