RIDGEFIELD, NJ – PC Tan proudly welcomed hundreds of tanning salon owners and staff to the PC Tan Expo in January, the first tanning show of 2014.
Customers and vendors filled the Teaneck Marriott to hear industry experts speak on a wide variety of subjects including “Love Our Industry,” presented by Matt Russell of SmartTan; “Social Media: a New Era Begins,” presented by Robert Cochrane of Helios; “Dollars and Sense,” by Scott Eggers of New Sunshine.
This year also saw the return of the popular panel of experts, covering a range of topics and including industry leaders such as Lewis Henry, Devoted Creations; Diane Lucas, Palm Beach Tan; Bill Pipp, New Sunshine; Brandon Cardinal, Norvell Sunless; Robbie Segler, Darque Tan; Tom D’auria, Tan Lines; Velvet Evans, Sun Dazed Tanning; Melissa Smallwood, Supre; and Dan Caskey, Roger Stroede, and Bart Bonn representing the Palm Beach Tan franchise community.
Expo attendees also enjoyed nine roundtable discussions in a more personal setting with some of these same industry leaders. Robbie Segler discussed “Improving your EFT and Salon Memberships;” Dan Caskey talked about “Marketing to the Masses” and Kevin Ruane presented “The Key to Innovative Financing” to name just a few.
Susan Miller, PC Tan CEO is quick to point out that it’s not all work at the PC Tan Expo. “We also know how to enjoy ourselves,” she said. “The Expo featured a fabulous luncheon, and of course a cocktail party where guests could relax and enjoy a delicious strolling dinner. And don’t forget, Expo participants also had the chance to win a number of wonderful prizes, from HD TVs to the latest tablets from Google!”
Many salon owners took advantage of the certifications offered on January 17th from CalTan Sunless and Norvell University. Miller hopes the classes will give them an edge in the rapidly growing sunless sector. “We see these salon owners as not just our customers but also our partners, and as they grow and profit, so does the entire industry.”
