- What was your very first job?
In my senior year of high school, I worked at Bonanza steakhouse in Pocahontas, AR. Living in a small town, jobs were hard to come by! I was the “garden chef” (lol) in charge of putting out kale for garnish.
- What skill would you most like to learn?
I want to ride a motorcycle! I can drive anything but a motorcycle – I guess I just never got around to it. There is still time!
- What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish?
I’m an ‘80s kid – reading, movies and music were a huge part of my life. I can still quote many movies I grew up with, too many to name. But today, my answer would be “Elf” and “Life” (1999).
- What is the strangest food combination you enjoy?
Cathead biscuits with chocolate gravy and homemade butter. This is not “strange” to me, but probably as different as I get. Other than chia seeds – I put them on everything, even in my drinks!
- How would your friends describe you?
Super fun, exciting to be around; always dragging them to do something they probably would not do. Also, I am brutally honest (I know they hold their breath sometimes lol). If my mouth does not say it, my face will! I did reach out to some of my friends and their comments were: “Likes to try to push the horn while I’m driving, can reach the top shelf, protective, loyal, defender and generous.” This is the only question they knew about – I’m not a “pat myself on the back” type of person and I wanted an honest opinion.
- If you were a superhero, what superpowers would you have?
I would be a protector for sure, and a giver. Every human and pet would have a safe home and food to eat. It hurts my heart to see homeless people and stray pets. I have been told, “Tammy, you cannot save them all!” and my answer is always, “I can try, one at a time.” My favorite quote from the Lord Huron song “Ends of the Earth” is “What good is livin’ a life you’ve been given, if all you do is stand in one place?”
- What do you like most about your job with JK Products?
I have to say my customers and the people I work with. I am very customer service driven – I love talking to customers and getting to know them and their businesses. I am a helper at heart and it fills me with pride to help a business with products, information and updates they need to grow and succeed. I have also loved seeing the growth in JK Products & Services over the eight years I have been with the company. I am honored to work with a company that is always expanding and evolving in the tanning industry, and I’m proud to know I was part of JK’s growth.
