FLINT, MI – Sun Evolutions National Educator, David McFarland, burst into the corporate headquarters of Michigan salon chain, Tropi Tan, raring and ready to drop some serious product and sales knowledge on the staff of five of their local teams.
“I always say great salon sales professionals are like great actors/actresses,” McFarland states. “They study and practice for their roles and when they ‘hit the stage’ in a tanning salon, they always treat their tanning guests/audience to an engaging performance!”
In his training sessions, McFarland emphasizes teaching salon guests how to have beautiful skin – not just a tan. “When you focus on beautiful skin,” he adds, “first, it opens up the door to talk about all the incredible ingredients in tanning products. One of our new products I love to talk about is Chosen from our Elite Collection. It has Gooseberry, which is an herb with more vitamin C than oranges – great anti-aging properties. When you focus on beautiful skin first, your guests will spend more money on products they know can do more than just get them tan.”
As always, the Tropi Tan teams were entertained by McFarland’s energetic training style. “David kept everyone interested and they all said they learned so much about the sales process,” commented Maghan Miller, General Manager. “They’re pumped and ready to do some big-time selling this season!”
