Last year at this time, things were finally looking up for most salon operators after a very dark time (it really couldn’t have gotten worse) … I wish that was the case at the time of this writing!
In our very uncertain economic climate, the challenges for small businesses continue. That being said, the tan biz community will soldier on as it has through four decades of adversity. Many just returned (myself included) from the sold-out National Tanning Expo presented late last month by Four Seasons in Nashville, TN. Successful salon operators are always looking for ways to grow and improve their operations, and industry events are a great resource. We will have coverage of all the action in the December issue. Later this month (11/15-16), Tanning Supplies Unlimited will host their Fall Expo in Indianapolis, IN and on 11/18-19, Ultraviolet Resources International and Superior UV will join forces to welcome industry professionals at their Northeast Tanning Expo in Trumbull, CT.
