Global business celebrity and marketing expert Jeffrey Hayzlett is thrilled to be this year’s keynote speaker at the upcoming ITA Tanning World Expo in Columbus, Ohio. The Expo is scheduled for Sept. 25-27, and Hayzlett plans to give his keynote address on Saturday, September 26 at 8:30am to kick off an exciting weekend.
Hayzlett’s vast experience in the world of business, marketing and customer relations will benefit Expo attendees who want to learn more about how to strengthen and improve their business operations and how to overcome challenges common with running any small business, plus those challenges specific to the tanning industry. “The speech is built around the stories in my new book, Think Big, Act Bigger: The Rewards of Being Relentless,” said Hayzlett. “The book, and the program, is a take-no-prisoners, no B.S. attitude adjustment for those of us who call ourselves entrepreneurs.”
“I’ve learned that in every business and in every industry, limitations exist everywhere, mostly in our minds and in the stories we tell ourselves. Getting past these limitations is hard work. Everyone can think big – the art is in acting bigger.”
Hayzlett is the author of two bestsellers, Running the Gauntlet: Essential Business Lessons to Lead, Drive Change and Grow Profits and The Mirror Test: Is Your Business Really Breathing? He is a leading business expert, cited in Forbes, SUCCESS and other widespread magazines, and he shares insight and commentary on television networks like Bloomberg, MSNB, Fox Business and C-Suite TV. He also appeared as a guest celebrity judge for three seasons of NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice.” He is well-known in the social media communities and a frequent contributor to the American Marketing Association’s AMA TV and Marketing News publication.
As keynote speaker, Hayzlett will pull together lessons learned from owning franchises, running small businesses (and selling more than 200 of them) and being CMO of a Fortune 500 company, in addition to his experiences with his prime-time show “C-Suite with Jeffrey Hayzlett,” and will explain how salon owners and managers can look at how they are running the business in a whole new way. His speech will focus on the attitude that owners need to assume in order to overcome the obstacles they face every day.
“I’ve learned that in every business and in every industry, limitations exist everywhere, mostly in our minds and in the stories we tell ourselves,” Hayzlett said. “Getting past these limitations is hard work. Everyone can think big – the art is in acting bigger.”
Here are just a few points that Hayzlett plans to highlight and that he hopes Expo-attendees will take to heart:
• Develop a “takeover mentality” to execute the right changes and deal with any disruptions that they may cause;
• Summon the vision and courage necessary for driving change and sustaining your salon’s newfound momentum; and
• Sharpen the mental and emotional toughness to make strategic, lasting change.
Improving the success of a business begins with its ownership, and Hayzlett also wants to guide owners to learn how to take over their salon from the inside and drive change, resulting in more customers and increased profits in the process. He said those attending his keynote speech should come away with the ability to understand how to efficiently assess what kind of change their business needs and then summon the vision, courage and passion to enact it.
“I want to show salon owners and business leaders how to develop the necessary mental, emotional and physical toughness they must have for smart, strategic and lasting change,” he said. ■
