CONWAY, AR – On September 24, salon operators from all over the U.S. gathered in Tampa,FL, to board Carnival cruise ship Paradise and set sail for the 2018 Tanning Salon Owners Unite cruise, a non-profit event for independent salon owners.

“I created the TSOU Cruise as a networking and educational event for salon operators, by salon operators,” explains organizer, Drew Spurgers, an Arkansas salon chain operator. “The first three years have been great — our group has nearly doubled each year,” he continues. “In my opinion, the owners who invest in their business by coming on the cruise are the cream of the crop – those willing to step away to plan for the future, and hear from colleagues about how we can make each other better. It’s truly been a joy to plan, and is an event I look forward to every year!”

TSOU cruisers can expect a laid-back week of networking and getting to know fellow salon owners from all over the country, as well as workshops taught by fellow salon owners and industry professionals who want to help make their salons better, as well as the industry. In addition to daily conferences, the attendees enjoyed “playtime” while in port at Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico.

“The TSOU Cruise is exactly what a convention should be. It’s a few fun days away with friends – the ultimate collaboration with colleagues,” says Tara Sanders, Owner of Touchable Tan, Denham Springs, LA.
