INDIANAPOLIS, IN – For years, Designer Skin has been dedicated to never testing their products on animals, but recently DS decided they could do more for animals in need. This past fall, the lotion maker launched a new bronzer, Charmed™, donating a portion of the proceeds from every bottle sold to benefit local Humane Societies. In January, Designer Skin presented a check to the Hamilton County Humane Society. To date, Charmed has raised $10,000 to help animals in need.
The Hamilton County Humane Society is a no-kill animal shelter, meaning they will accept any animal no matter their health condition. Executive Director, Rebecca Stevens, noted that many animals that come into the shelter need medical attention and the majority of the donation from DS will go to veterinarian care.
Want to know how you can help? Get involved with your local shelter! Many shelters across the country need foster homes for animals or accept donations of food, toys, blankets and other supplies.
