When I’m out there trying to help people do more and be more in order to help them live the same 10X Super Life I do, one of the things I hear the most often is “I’m too old.” Too old to make it happen. Too old to change. Too old to be great. Too old to be great? Tell that to Tom Brady.
The Super Bowl is certainly big news in this country. Hell, it’s broadcast around the world; but what everyone was really talking about in February was the fact that a 43-year-old Tom Brady was leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Kansas City Chiefs. Brady is undoubtedly one of football’s all-time greatest with an amazing list of accomplishments. He’s also living proof that age is no obstacle if you’re determined and committed enough. As the Super Bowl approached, everyone was speculating on whether or not it would be Brady’s last season. Anything is possible; but I wouldn’t be planning his retirement party anytime soon just like I’m not even close to planning mine.
As someone who’s at an age at which most people are thinking about retirement, I’m thinking about my next big deal and the one after that. I’m also thinking of all those people who think that they missed the boat. I’ll tell you one thing about boats: there’s always another one. In fact, there’s a freaking cruise ship coming with space for anyone who wants to take their game to the next level, and it does not matter how old you are or where you are in life.
My 10X Growth Conference was created for forward thinkers, trailblazers, entrepreneurs, sales professionals, business owners and anyone else who seeks to define the marketplace today and tomorrow. In just a few years, the 10X Growth Conference has become the world’s largest business training event for sales and marketing. It’s helped hundreds of thousands of people (of all ages) elevate their personal and professional game to 10X levels. And this year, since I’m offering an option to attend virtually, I expect to be able to give millions the means to achieve their goals.
Look, I know that neither Tom Brady nor I can go on forever and that the time will come to take our foot off the gas … but it ain’t happening today and I wouldn’t bet on it happening tomorrow because as long as we can, we will. I don’t care if you’re 25 or 65. I don’t care what mistakes you’ve made because I’ve made them all. I’ll tell you straight up that age is not an issue. It isn’t for Tom Brady. It sure isn’t for me and it isn’t for YOU. So, don’t tell me that you missed your shot because I’ll tell you one thing about shots: you can always take another one.
One of the things I hear the most often is “I’m too old.” Too old to make it happen. Too old to change. Too old to be great. Too old to be great? Tell that to Tom Brady.
