1. How did you get into the indoor tanning industry?

I was 20 years old and my cousin worked at a tanning salon where only one employee worked at a time so I would go hang out with her and make her show me all of the lotions. She left to pursue another job opportunity, so I applied for a job there and was hired. I cleaned beds, did custom airbrush tans, and sold crazy amounts of product all in one shift. Managing all of that responsibility on my own helped me to grow so much, and I acquired many different skills along the way. Soho Tan Spa played a big part in where I am now in the industry. When the owner closed it to take on the new role of parenting, they referred me to Devoted Creations and I couldn’t be more thankful.

2. What do you like most about your job?

I love the opportunity to meet, connect with and educate new people every day. I have been introduced to amazing people from all over and helping them achieve success brings me happiness and makes my job easy.

3. When you were a kid, what did you want to grow up to be?
[gap height=”15″]
I wanted to be in the medical field until I took a biomedical class as a high school senior and was assigned a project in which I had to be filmed while acting as a doctor. I was terrified of being on camera so, I (jokingly) begged my teacher to let me opt out of the class and be a teacher’s assistant. Pretty sure I only liked the idea of being a doctor, which I quickly realized when I was told I had to be on camera. Ironically, I am now on camera all of the time – web training, anyone?

4. What’s your biggest “pet peeve?”

When I order takeout with a side of Ranch dressing and the side of Ranch is nowhere to be found! (Insert eye-roll emoji here.)

5. What would you sing at Karaoke Night?

This is a hard one, because I would perform a whole concert of covers – just ask everyone I was with last Halloween (or don’t haha!) But If I had to choose just one song, it would be “Naïve” by The Kooks. Amazing song and if you haven’t heard it before, I suggest listening to it right now!

6. Necessities aside, what one thing could you not go a day without?

I could not go a day without talking to my sister. My day is not complete until we’ve laughed really hard about something really stupid.

7. If you were a super-hero, what power would you have?
[gap height=”15″]
I would have the power of teleportation. My favorite ice cream place is about to close? Running late for my mortal day job? No problem, be there in a second … literally!
