As I write this, I’m reviewing numbers for my salon chain and they’re up for both sales and tanners – an upswing in consumer confidence goes a long way. My management team reports seeing new some faces, and others who are returning to tanning – more money in their pockets! As we all know, the last seven years of operating under the former administration devastated our industry. Brighter days are ahead!

Another indication of brighter days for our business: attendees of the Four Seasons National Tanning Expo in St. Charles, MO were excited and energized for the coming season. As the host, FS Executive Chairman, Ed Jerger put it: “only good vibes!”

Remember the days when tanning trade events attracted thousands of salon owners, staff, and manufacturer reps ready for a good time with friends and a great business experience?
