IST Magazine was honored to have Sun is Life included again as part of the many education opportunities offered at the well-attended National Tanning Expo (NTE) in Nashville in October. The robust attendance and high energy level were encouraging indicators for 2024! It’s always a great time to catch up with industry veterans and meet people excited about joining the tan biz community. An enthusiastic group of salon professionals took advantage of the Sun is Life Certification classroom session taught by my lovely daughter, Courtney. All of the students passed their exams and one of them is highlighted in the “Salon of Distinction” feature – Erin Edwards, Owner of Cabana Salon in Chicago, IL. She also offers some very kind words about her Sun is Life Training experience.
Red-light systems were prominent at the NTE; it’s a hugely popular service and very easy to add to your salon menu. My good friend and industry veteran Jerry Deveney offers an informative article about red light.
Finally, we’re happy to announce the 2023 Industry Choice Awards Winners! Our readers stepped up to vote for their favorites, resulting in two tied categories. Of course, there are many repeat winners – they continue to lead our industry in product innovation and deserve recognition.
