Dear Readers,
In this issue, a good amount of space is dedicated to the upcoming ITA World Tanning Expo that will take place in Columbus, OH next month. Our industry organization chose to once again produce international tradeshows and has moved the venue from Nashville, TN to Columbus. Most importantly, the ITA has committed to invest 100 percent of the show’s profits in its efforts to represent our industry – YOUR business – and fight legislative battles at both state and Federal levels, including the FDA and FTC. The ITA is here to protect YOUR livelihood.
Why did the ITA choose Columbus for the 2015 Expo? Take a look at what the city has to offer in Joe Schuster’s article, “Why Columbus?”. The ITA knows the elements that are needed to put on a successful tradeshow, and Columbus has all those elements. They have an exceptional educational lineup planned, including Sun is Life® Training & Certification, as well as a welcome party and outstanding keynote speaker, all at a venue that offers a great time after the show floor closes. I’m really hoping you’ll join us for a truly valuable and energizing event. IST writer Joe Schuster got in touch with many of the product vendors that will be exhibiting to find out what they have planned.
As I stated, IST Magazine is very proud that the ITA chose Sun is Life as the exclusive training and certification program at this year’s premiere industry event. Our Sun is Life program will be offered on Friday, September 25 from 11am-3pm, and if you haven’t registered, do it now! If you want to be ready for the upcoming season with a well-trained team, this is your opportunity. In the September issue, Joe Schuster will be detailing the education portion of the Tanning World Expo … salon operators on every level will find something they can benefit from, not to mention the excellent networking opportunities that are invaluable.
It’s not ALL about the Tanning World Expo this month – be sure to check out the columns by our expert group of contributors. And I have to give a shout out to PC Marketing’s Eric Haynes, featured on our “7 Questions” page. I got a kick out of his “Favorite Food” entry.
Thanks for reading the industry’s No. 1 trade magazine!
