It’s the most comprehensive coverage a salon owner can have in case of equipment breakdown, and we’re one of the few companies that offer something like this!”
In its quest to go beyond providing general salon liability coverage, Insurtec continues to add plans for many spa and beauty services to its offerings. “These days, many salon operators hire independent contractors to provide massage and airbrush tanning services in the salon, as well as with mobile formats,” Beshore said. “We realized the importance of coverage for these service providers, so we developed our Independent Contractor Program – it covers airbrush tanning technicians, massage therapists and aestheticians, as well as anyone else who contracts their services through a tanning salon.” The program costs $300-$350 per year, and provides $300,000 in general and professional liability coverage.
As a company, Insurtec predicts even more evolution in the industry, hinting at even more exciting developments in the future. “From tanning units to teeth-whitening services, we cover everything in the tanning salon and spa industries,” Beshore said. “Lately, we’ve been looking into other ways to further diversify our services, and the opportunity to expand into other markets has presented itself. We’re very excited to continue evolving as a company while providing tanning salon owners with the peace of mind that only comes with knowing that their livelihood is protected.”
