INDIANAPOLIS, IN – After announcing on social media this past January that Swedish Beauty® hoped to partner with salons working with charitable organizations in 2013, an overwhelming reaction followed. Salons from across the U.S. as well as Canada responded, detailing the ways they give back to their communities. One salon, Me Time Tanning of Saint Catharines, Ontario holds an annual “Tans for Cans” event to benefit their local food bank. During the month of March, anyone who came in with a canned food item tanned for free.
Swedish Beauty teamed up with this salon, donating a gift basket that featured products from the brand’s Girlfriend Sexy™ and Botanica® Collections. Me Time Tanning appreciated the donation and stated that a partnership like this “really boosts our turnout for these events”. At the end of the campaign, they announced that Jody Mclenaghan from St. Catharines was the winner of the gift basket. She was thrilled to win and delighted that she could be a part of the event. She loves Swedish Beauty’s Botanica® Collection and her favorite product is “Grapeful®” – which happened to be included in the gift basket she won.
The “Tans for Cans” donation was made to local food bank, Community Care. This year, Me Time Tanning donated a larger amount of food with the help of Swedish Beauty’s gift. Congratulations to the winner and thank you to Me Time Tanning for giving back to those in need!
