The 30-minute session training covers all aspects of eye protection. “Our new training ‘The Best Just Got Better’ is designed for salons to train their staff on how to convince salon guests to wear eye protection while tanning, as well as introduce our new Ultra Gold Wink-Ease,” explained Brenda Fishbaugh, EYE PRO president. “Our original Wink-Ease has been on the market since 1985, and it was time to ‘freshen up’ the product,” said Jackie DeWald, EYE PRO office manager. “The New Ultra Gold Wink-Ease has much better visibility, improved adhesive and is easier to fold. It is important for the salon staff to educate themselves on not only the importance of eye protection, but also to understand the benefits of each product. Our new training not only introduces our new Wink-Ease, but also educates salon staff on the importance of wearing eye protection,” she continued. “An educated staff will build a much better relationship with the salon guest and better understand their needs. Understanding the tanner will result in more sales!”
Each salon completing the training will receive a high quality, 5” x 7” acrylic eye protection sign to be displayed in the salon lobby. Additional educational materials also being sent include EYE PRO’s 8-page “Indoor Tanner’s Guide to Eye Protection” with a color vision test, info on night vision loss, and how to avoid raccoon eyes. Salons will also receive a laminated informational counter mat showing possible eye damage from tanning without properly cleaned eyewear, as well as samples of EYE PRO’s NEW Ultra Gold Wink-Ease and Viewkeepers disposable eye protection, Wink-Ease Dark for Red Light and Fresh-Ease Refreshing Cloths for After Tanning.
