How long have you had your pets? Respectively 14 years, 4 years, 5 years, 9 years & 9 years, 3 years & 3 years
My pets’ breeds/species: Respectively cat (tiger), dog (mutt), dog (mutt), chinchillas & degus.
The story: All my pets were adopted as adults except Claire (14) who was a feral kitten I extracted from the engine of a parked car in a bad part of town late at night! I’ve had the dogs for four and five years, the chinchillas for nine years and the degus for three.
My favorite thing about my pets: They all get along together!
Tricks/talent: MY best trick is getting the chinchillas & degus to take their dust baths – so fun to watch.
Comment: I have a special appreciation for domesticated animals (aka pets) after spending many hours of volunteer work up-close and personal with not-so-domesticated animals like tigers, wolves, sharks, bears and kinkajous!
