In nearly 23 years of producing this magazine, I’m proud to say that we’ve earned our share of kudos – frequent praise from salon operators, as well as many Addy® Awards from the American Advertising Federation – and that’s all great. But, receiving affirmation from an industry veteran that our content is valuable to tanning business owners is very rewarding, indeed.

We work hard to produce a useful business tool, and we’re happy to have so many knowledgeable industry professionals contributing content every month. If you’re reading this letter, chances are good that you also take time to peruse the variety of articles herein. I’ve said it before: I can always find good business info in our magazine and I celebrated 39 years in the salon biz last month!

Celebrating the industry was the theme at the National Tanning Expo in St. Charles, MO. What a great show! The energy level was refreshing, with operators excited about the new products and many preparing to invest in new equipment. The event made me believe that, for the first time in nearly six years, our industry is going to expand. Four Seasons did another excellent job hosting the industry’s biggest event – check out Jerry Deveney’s wrap-up.
