IST: When did you open your first salon and what was your motivation to do so? [gap height=”15″]
Kim: It was November 2006, we were discussing diversifying our family business and were familiar with tanning salons from our IT business. Personally, I also tanned indoors to help with SAD symptoms that result from the continuous grey skies and short daylight hours we experience during Oregon winters. So, when the Troutdale location came up for sale, we jumped in![gap height=”15″][gap height=”15″]
IST: What do tanners like most about your salons?[gap height=”15″]
Kim: Our great customer service and friendly staff! We make it our number one priority to emphasize this when we hire new employees.[gap height=”15″][gap height=”15″]
IST: What do you enjoy the most about the business?[gap height=”15″]
Kim: The long-term interaction with our customers. You get to share in their stories from their vacations all over the world, as well as important family events such as weddings, birthdays, etc.[gap height=”15″][gap height=”15″]

Kim: Yes Way Rose’ and Blonde Obsession. The Aloe-Vera base and high-quality skincare ingredients help develop a better tan. Our tanners immediately see and feel how good it is for their skin.[gap height=”15″]
